The program will feature a set of pieces titled “Four Romantic Waltz’s” by Brazilian guitarist Edmar Fenicio. Roye will also perform his own compositions titled “Pandorian Suite” and “Maze.” SEPTEMBER30 | PIANORECITAL: KIRILLGLIADKOVSKY Come and enjoy the afternoon of piano solo and ensemble music, including works by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, and Faure, featuring internationally acclaimed guest artist Kirill Gliadkovsky along with Chico State professor Natalya Shkoda. Gliadkovsky’s piano master class is to follow the recital. OCTOBER7 | WITHASPANISHACCENT Violinist Joel Quivey explores music from Spain, Argentina, and Mexico with selections by Sarasate, Monasterio, Lalo, Elizondo, J.A. Jimeniz, and Gardel. Guest musicians include pianists Justin Mckay, Dr. Robert Bowman, and Mariachi Mixteco de Chico. OCTOBER21 | RYANHEIMLICH&CLARINET FRIENDS Spend the afternoon enjoying a mix of old and new music for the clarinet in multiple configurations, including clarinet solos, duos, trios, quartets, and ensembles. Music from Bach to Earth, Wind, and Fire will be performed. OCTOBER28 | BLUESIS…? Composer and guitarist David Dvorin presents a program of original compositions influenced by the blues in all of its myriad forms. Joined by Randy McKean on clarinets and Clifford Childers on bass trumpet, trombone, and harmonica, the trio will prod, push, and pull at the musical boundaries of what makes the blues. JANUARY20 | CHICOCOMPOSERS Celebrate with the faculty performers the composers that are now, and have been, in residence at Chico State. Featuring the music of Alfred Loeffler, Ray Barker, David Colson, Russell Burnham, David Dvorin, Tobin Roye, and others. APRIL7 | HYMNSATDAWN Daun Weiss sings some of her favorite songs of faith, both classical and traditional.
