48 T he College of Humanities and Fine Arts is the creative heart and cultural soul of California State University, Chico, providing exceptional educational experiences for students. Located on the corner of campus closest to downtown Chico, it is a literal gateway to a wealth of opportunities for all members of the community to broaden their perspectives, ignite their creativity, and share ideas. With world-class art exhibitions, visiting authors, scholars, and artists, new and classical music performances, exemplary theatre productions, music recording, and more, the College is a hub of creative and scholarly activity. We are your cornerstone for the arts and humanities—help us make creativity happen here by providing your financial support to the College of Humanities and Fine Arts. There are a myriad of giving opportunities—such as sponsoring an art exhibition or concert, bringing an author or poet to campus for a public lecture and master class with students, or underwriting a spring musical theatre production. Many donors enjoy things like sponsoring a musician chair, supporting a study abroad experience in London, or underwriting the catalogs for art exhibitions. Not to mention student scholarships—what a powerful way to support our future professional writers, teachers, critical thinkers, artists, dancers, and musicians. Let’s get together for coffee and talk about the arts and humanities! I’d love to give you a tour of Ayres Hall, the Arts and Humanities Building, or the Performing Arts Center.
