Academic Regalia Purchasing Guidelines
Academic Regalia typically consists of caps/hats, gowns/robes, hoods, sashes, tassels, and cords used during commencement activities.
Faculty and staff are responsible for purchasing their own regalia. Using state operating funds would be gifting state resources which is not permitted.
If the college/department wishes to rent regalia through the AS Bookstore (using either state or foundation dollars), this may be a better, less expensive option.
