Key Dates Announced for 25/26 Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) Funding

July 17, 2024

Due Date - Submit your Notice of Intent (NOI) by October 1, 2024

The CSU Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) will be accepting grant applications this Fall. The ARI grant competition provides public funds from the State of California that require at least a one-to-one match with industry/agency resources to fund high-impact applied agricultural research, development, and technology transfer. All proposals must improve California agriculture's and its allied industries' economic efficiency, productivity, profitability, and sustainability.

CSU ARI Systemwide grants can be funded for a maximum of 3 years with a minimum request of $75,000 per year and a maximum request of $150,000 per year. The system proposal must be collaborative and should include partners from other Universities.

Chico State campus grants can be funded for a maximum of 3 years with no minimum requests and a maximum request of $100,000 per year.

Additional information is available on our campus ARI website, including the upcoming release of 25/26 RFP.

If you are considering an ARI proposal, plan to attend our informational webinar on Friday, September 6, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Plumas Hall 203B (strongly recommended for new PIs). We will review the policies/procedures, deadlines, matching requirements, components of your proposal, potential partners, and how to make a Cayuse record (Cayuse is CSE's grants/contracts proposal portal).

ARI Virtual Café Hours will be offered for one-on-one support on Friday, September 13, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Friday, September 27, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. We can go over your proposal, talk about suitable partners/match, and how to make your proposal competitive.
