What is the Student Center?

The Student Center is the central hub of information for everything regarding your Chico State account. Here you can find information regarding enrollment, grades, financial aid, fee payment and account status, unofficial transcripts, degree progress, and all other student data.

• Academic Progress
  Viewing Grades.

  You can view your final grades in the student center without requesting an unofficial transcript. Under the Academic Progress tab, Select Grades. Select the semester you’d like to view and click Continue. This should pull up an overview of the semester’s final grades.

• Degree Progress Report
  Degree Progress Report

  The degree progress report is designed to create an overview of your progress towards graduation. The report lists the required pathways for your general education and major, the courses associated with those pathways, and the courses taken to fulfill that pathway if applicable. You can access your Degree Progress report in your Student Center under the Academic Progress tab.

• Financial Aid and Financial Account Activity

  Viewing Financial Aid.

  You can view and accept financial aid from the student center. Under the Financials tab in the Student Center menu, select View Financial aid to see an overview of your financial aid activity by academic year. You can expand each term to view a breakdown of the type of aid received, as well as how much was offered, accepted, and disbursed. The Totals row will show you a cumulative total of all your financial aid at Chico State.

  

  Accepting Financial Aid.

  To accept financial aid, navigate to Financials from the Student Center menu, and select Accept/Decline Awards. From this page, you will see the financial aid offers that have been awarded to you under the New tab. Offers you have already accepted and denied will be viewable under the Accepted and Declined tabs. The total Offered amount and total Accepted amount are shown at the bottom of the page.

  Financial Account Activity.

  • What I Owe - This page will show you any outstanding charges to your account. You can also choose to Make a Payment from this page.
  • Account Details - The Account Details page will show you your Account Activity listing all transactions filtered by a specific time frame or term. From this page, you can also view your account summary, charges due, payments, and pending aid:

  

• Schedule Builder

  The schedule builder is the tool used for generating class schedules and enrolling in your classes at Chico State. You can access the schedule builder by signing in through the Chico State Portal(opens in new window) and going to your Student Center. From the menu in the Student Center, you will find Schedule Builder under the Enrollment tab:

• Smart Planner

  The Smart Planner is designed to schedule courses for the remaining semesters at Chico State. You can restrict units per semester, add summer sessions, lock desired/required courses to a semester, and run the Degree Progress report with the Smart Planner to check your graduation progress. You can access the Smart Planner in your Student Center under the Academic Progress Tab.
