Login Buttons
Description: symbol for a specific function - logging in; bigger touchable area.
When to use a Login Button
These are custom elements and Web Services must insert on sites. When a user clicks on a login button, the immediate result is either
- Ask for their campus credentials to continue, or
- Ask for username and password created within a vendor application
Do
- stick to the approved text convention: "[System Name] Login"
- keep text short, abbreviating long system names if necessary (ex., "CRA Login", not "Communication, Reporting & Analysis Login")
Don't
- use a login button once the user is inside the protected environment
- use a standard or flame button when a branded version is available
- use login-style buttons for simple external links
