Competency Exams for Teacher Credential Programs in California

NOTE: If you are enrolled or planning to enroll in a CSU Chico credential program please consult your advisor or the CSU Chico Department of Education, Tehama 101, 530.898.6421 As of
June 2003, the California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET) replaces
previous single subject (SSAT and Praxis) and multiple subject (MSAT)
exams for credential candidates in California. Passing scores in the
SSAT and Praxis II taken after June 30, 2003, will not be accepted for
California certificatation. Additional information can be found on the
