Ibe Liebenberg

Left on Everest

His ring stood out the most,
gold on bone.
What skin was left
showed the wear of
pure sun,
burned bleach white.

Some sat up,
resting,
eyes closed,
waiting to be awakened.
Others lie around, content,
not wanting to be bothered.
