Wildcat Computing Support (WCS)
Attention Wildcats!
Wildcat Computing Support is transitioning to the Center for Technology Equity. The Center for Technology Equity will provide students, faculty, and staff access to technology lending, technology training, research, community, and consultation services. During this transition, we will be decommissioning the Wildcat Computing Support website. The most popular pages, including Canvas support, will be available on the Center for Technology Equity webpage. We will not be taking down the Wildcat Computing Support website until the Center for Technology Equity page is in place. This transition is scheduled for 8/17/23. Should you not be able to find information you were looking for, please contact Technology Equity & Inclusion at tein@csuchico.edu.
Welcome! Wildcat Computing Support is curated by students to better support you and enhance your experiences with technology. We provide information to support your success in using academic technology in and out of the classroom.
Everyone's journey through education is different and varied. Part of your journey is learning to engage and leverage academic technology. It is extremely important to your success, and at the same time requires patience to learn how it can benefit you. While learning various technologies, they change and adapt quickly. We work to stay current and keep you informed as things evolve and support you through your academic journey and your professional and personal growth.
All of the programs and software below are part of Chico State resources, provided to you through a campus license while you are here, so there is no cost to you.
Alternative Formats for Documents in Canvas:
Canvas automatically creates Alternative Document Formats for Canvas files to allow students with different learning preferences or accommodations to access documents in a format that better suits their individual needs. This feature works for Word and pdf files.
