Please join California State University, Chico President Paul Zingg, the University Public Safety Committee and other members of the campus community for the 3rd Annual Moonlight Safety Walk on Wednesday, October 17.

As in past years, participants will divide into four teams that walk throughout campus to help identify safety hazards, such as inadequate lighting or overgrown brush.

Volunteers will meet at Selvester’s-by-the-Creek Café just north of Kendall Hall at 7 p.m. for pizza and drinks, before starting the walk. The walk begins at approximately 7:30 p.m. and lasts about an hour.

Political science professor Matthew Thomas, chair of the Public Safety Advisory Committee, said the Moonlight Safety Walk is a great way to help promote a safe campus environment and to meet members of the campus community.

Those interested in participating, or those who would like more information about the event, can contact Thomas at mothomas@csuchico.edu or call 898-5738.
