April Career Fairs Connect Students, Employers

California State University, Chico will host two career fairs and an industry-sponsored sales competition in April for students and alumni seeking jobs in education, sales and other fields.

Students are invited to attend free career fair preparation seminars April 6 at 4 p.m. and April 7 at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the CSU, Chico Career Center, Student Services Center 270. Advisors and guest employers will share best practices for a successful career fair experience.

On Friday, April 24, CSU, Chico students will participate in the Western States Collegiate Sales Competition, cohosted by the College of Business’ Professional Sales Program.

The event requires students from across the West and Midwest to compete in two 12-minute sales scenarios created by corporate sponsors including ADP and Salesforce.com. In 2014, CSU, Chico students placed first among 13 teams. The competition takes place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Career Center.
