Josie Otwell Student Assistant Award

The Josie Otwell Award nomination period happens in the Spring semester. Typically, one award for approximately $5,000 is given.

The criteria are:

• Student assistants must be California residents
• Student assistants must be enrolled full-time at Chico State
• The funding may only be used to “pay for student assistants who perform jobs for professors when other funds are not available from another source”
• Each college dean may submit one application describing the greatest need within their college for a professor to use for student assistant funding

Please note that only Deans may submit nominations for the Josie Otwell Award. Applications are now closed for the 2024-25 academic year.
