Center for Ecosystem Research

ABOUT CER

CER is a collective of faculty focused on the research of ecosystems and their biological, physical, and chemical components. The participating faculty members are from diverse backgrounds: chemistry, biological sciences, environmental sciences, geological sciences, and statistics.

CER provides three research laboratories for fieldwork, analysis, and computational research. These shared laboratories facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration amongst faculty and students, as well as being an efficient use of space and scientific resources. Working side-by-side in the laboratories: leads to an increase in communication, an increase in research activity and grant competitiveness, and an improved ability to respond to societal needs.
