Transfer Checklist

Before Orientation:

  • Submit your non-refundable $200 deposit or certified exemption by May 1, 2017.
  • Check the “to-do” list in your Portal to determine if any transcripts or documents are outstanding. All final official transcripts must be received by the Office of Admissions no later than July 15, 2017.
  • If you have outstanding coursework needed to meet admission requirements, you must submit proof of completion before you will be able to register for classes at Summer Orientation.
  • Obtain immunization records and make copies to bring to Summer Orientation.
  • If you applied for financial aid, check your portal for award information. You may still apply for aid by submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov/.
  • If you are a student with a disability, contact the Accessibility Resource Center to arrange for accommodations for the fall semester at arcdept@csuchico.edu or (530) 898-5959.

Day of Orientation:

  • Arrive early to allow time to park and check-in. See the Summer Orientation website for parking information and directions.
  • Bring sealed official transcripts for Admissions (unless you have already submitted them).
  • Bring unofficial back-up copies of all transcripts and/or grade confirmations to assist with academic advising and course selection at orientation.
  • Bring copies of immunization records- originals will not be accepted.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and shoes for walking.
  • Bring a photo ID.

After Orientation:

  • Pay registration fees by July 26, 2017. Please visit Student Financial Services for more information.
  • You may add or drop courses during the open registration period from July 31, 2017 through September 1, 2017.
  • If you will be living in University Housing, check your designated move-in date.
  • All transfer students must complete the online Alcohol Edu and Not Anymore programs in order to be able to register for Spring 2018 classes. You can access the link through your portal.
  • Plan to attend Wildcat Welcome events the week of August 17th-24th including your mandatory department meeting on Friday, August 18th, 2017.
  • Classes begin on Monday, August 21, 2017!
