Film Premiere: The Climate Baby Dilemma

Thursday, Mar. 28, 2024, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
Colusa Hall

The Office of Faculty Development is proud to host the international university film premiere of The Climate Baby Dilemma on Thursday, March 28th at 6:00 p.m. in Colusa Hall. Doors will open for the Premiere at 5:30 p.m. with a red carpet entrance.

Written, directed, and produced by award-winning filmmaker Victoria Lean, The Climate Baby Dilemma features renowned science communicator Dr. Britt Wray among activists, authors, and prospective parents considering the implications of introducing a new human into a rapidly changing climate. Despite the stark and distressing conditions of the climate crisis; the film compels viewers to not grieve prematurely. The reality is this: the solutions to climate change already exist, and with a focus on community, strength, resilience, and action; a healthier planet for future generations is not out of reach. Following the film there will be a facilitated audience discussion.

The film is the opening event for This Way to Resilience, a symposium which will continue on Friday, March 29th from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. featuring an expo with workshops, presentations, and organizational tables for attendees to dive into climate action and resiliency. Both events are free and open to the public.

Please register to attend the symposium.
