Desislava Pedeva-Fazlic

Teaching:

Ms. Pedeva currently teaches several sections of HIST 130 at CSU, Chico.

She previously taught courses in Russian history, world history, and U.S. history for Butte College and Shasta College.

Bio:

Ms. Pedeva was born and raised in the Eastern European country of Bulgaria. She earned her BA in history and journalism from the American University in Bulgaria. It was the first western-style university on the Balkans in the post-communist era of that region. To study for her MA in history, Ms. Pedeva came to the beautiful town of Chico in year 2000 and graduated successfully in 2002.

Ms. Pedeva’s research interests are in modern European, modern Russian, and nineteenth-century U.S. history.
