Chris Mueller received his BFA in Theatre Arts Design and Technology from The University of Idaho in 2011, and his MFA in Scenic Design from Indiana University in 2020. Last year, he taught at The University of Alabama, where he was the Scene Design Instructor and Head of Paints and Props. Before going to Grad School, Chris spent five years working at Flat Rock Playhouse in North Carolina, where he was the Associate Scene Designer and Intern Director. While there, he had the opportunity to design numerous shows as well as assist on over 30 more.

Chris has had the privilege to work across the nation at theatres including Patel Conservatory, Idaho Repertory Theatre, Theatre West, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and more. Chris is originally from Portland, Oregon and is so thrilled to be joining the amazing team at CSU, Chico. He is excited to explore this beautiful area with his amazing wife, Kristin and loving rescue dogs, D’Artagnan and Maleficent.
