Dr. Hope Munro is an associate professor of music at California State University, Chico where she teaches courses in world music and music history.  She earned her PhD in ethnomusicology from the University of Texas at Austin.  Her book What She Go Do: Women in Afro-Trinidadian Music, was published in 2016 as part of the Caribbean Studies Series of the University Press of Mississippi.  An avid steel pan player, Dr. Munro is the musical director of the steel pan ensemble at Chico State.
