Elizabeth Quivey

Music Resource Librarian
Elizabeth Quivey is an active supporter of the performing arts in northern California, both on and off stage. Most recently, she was General Manager of the North State Symphony, a professional orchestra serving Chico and Redding. She works seasonally as stage manager for the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music in Santa Cruz, and when needed, on the production teams for Laxson Auditorium at CSU Chico, the Sonoma Valley Authors Festival, and the Peninsula Symphony in the south bay. Elizabeth is a member of the Association of California Symphony Orchestras and the League of American Orchestras.
An almost-lifelong Chico resident, Elizabeth values community and connections. She volunteers for and serves on the boards of local non-profits, including the Bidwell Mansion Association, Chico Friends of the Library, Chico Rod and Gun Club, and the Chico Guild of the North State Symphony. She can be caught chanting Psalms in the choirs at St. John the Baptist Catholic and St. John the Evangelist Episcopal churches.
Elizabeth has a degree in communication design from CSU Chico and is also a proud Butte College graduate. She plays cello (badly) and Scottish bagpipes, and when not busy with the million things listed above, enjoys traveling with her family, going to the opera, eating cheese, and attempting to grow vegetables.
