This course can serve several purposes. First, it can serve as an intensive critical introduction to or review of key concepts, techniques, and methodological issues in critical thinking, which can be applied in any walk of life. Second, for those interested in direct pedagogical application, it can help prepare one to teach critical thinking at the secondary or college level, or enhance preparation for teaching such courses as English composition, speech, and the natural and social sciences. Third, it can help instructors in any subject area integrate critical thinking techniques into their courses.
