September 12, 2023 - Provost Search Launches - Campus Review of Announcement

Dear Campus Community, 

I’m excited to announce the launch of the search for Chico State’s next provost. I met with the campus search committee last week and have asked the committee members to work expeditiously through the process in order to bring finalists to campus in December and have a new provost identified by January 2024. The University has contracted with the firm Academic Search to support the committee in this recruitment.  

I would like to thank our colleagues who will serve on this important search committee. They are: Tiffani Anderson, Mia Arisman, Isaac Brundage, William Cuthbertson, Jared DeBock, Nicol Gray, David Hassenzahl, Rachel McBride-Praetorius, Michelle Morris, Tawnie Peterson, Doris Schartmueller, Seema Sehrawat, Sheryl Woodward, and Jinsong Zhang (chair). I appreciate the careful consideration and time they will invest throughout the process.
