Shayla Verma is a 2nd year student studying Cellular/Molecular Biology and she plans to minor in chemistry. She is from Rocklin, CA, where she was a dancer growing up. This is Shayla’s second semester as an SI leader and she loves her job and her students. Chemistry is Shayla’s favorite subject and she plans to apply for summer research in medicinal chemistry. She had two adorable dogs back home whom she loves dearly. Shayla’s favorite thing to do in her free time is to lie down with a cup of hot cocoa and watch her favorite shows.
