Hello! My name is Ellie Marty and I am a third-year Chico State student majoring in journalism with a minor in women’s studies. I was born and raised in Sacramento, California, where I received a certificate of academic achievement for my work in my high school’s newspaper. I have spent the two previous semesters as an editor for Chico State’s independent newspaper, The Orion. I have worked as Copy Editor as well as Opinion Editor. Outside of my time on campus, I enjoy partaking in various arts and crafts, reading, spending time outdoors, and watching trashy reality TV. This is my first semester as a writing tutor and I’m incredibly eager to be a part of this program!
