The Jacki Headley University Art Gallery is a laboratory and exhibition space for contemporary art practices. Through innovative programming, the gallery engages and inspires the intellectual and creative life of the California State University, Chico community, and the diverse audiences of Chico and the North State. The gallery hosts three to five exhibitions each year, along with the annual juried student exhibition and the BFA culminating exhibitions. Broadly focused on exhibiting exemplary work by artists living today, the gallery presents artwork of varying media, content, and subject.
The Jacki Headley University Art Gallery is located in the new Arts and Humanities Building on the Chico State campus. Find us on the 1st floor, adjacent to the Turner Print Museum and the A Gallery.
The exhibition program is supported by the College of Humanities and Fine Arts, Instructionally Related Activities fees, Student Learning Fees, grants, and the generosity of donors and sponsors.
We acknowledge and are mindful that CSU, Chico stands on lands that were originally occupied by the first people of this area, and we recognize the Mechoopda and their distinctive spiritual relationship with this land and the waters that run through campus. We are humbled that our campus resides upon sacred lands that once sustained the Mechoopda people for centuries.
