Campus Speech Directory

The Campus Speech Directory is an automated speech recognition system that enables callers to locate and transfer to a faculty, staff, or department’s campus extension by speaking the name of that person or department. Faculty and staff, as well as departments are included in the Speech Directory. Individual listings are based on first name, last name, and the extensions are consistent with those in the Campus Directory(opens in new window).

This Speech Directory is available to anyone, anytime, from any phone – just by dialing the appropriate telephone number to access it.

To access the Speech Directory:

  • From a campus phone, dial “O” or extension 4111.
  • From off campus, dial (530) 898-4111.

**Please Note – Those concerned with calling party number privacy may not want to use the speech directory on campus, as the number you are calling from will be displayed to the called party.
