Dr. Lloyd Roby

Studio - Low Brass
Dr. Lloyd Roby is the Low Brass Specialist, Band Director, and Director of Secondary Music Education at California State University, Chico. As a trombonist, he has performed with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Tommy Dorsey Band, Woody Herman's ThunderingHerd, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and in back-up ensembles for entertainers such as Barry Manilow, Bob Hope, Charo, Glenn Campbell, Steve Martin, Englebert Humperdinck, the O'Jays, Vic Damone, etc. Prior to coming to Chico, he has taught at Indiana Wesleyan University and public schools in Florida and Illinois. Dr. Roby holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Duquesne University, a Master of Music from Northwestern University, and a Doctor of Music from Indiana University.
