Subject Tutoring Subject Tutoring provides Chico State students with weekly one-hour appointments with a faculty-recommended peer tutor. With an array of general education and pre-major courses to choose from, students can sign up for sessions at any point in the semester. However, it is recommended to visit early and often. Subject Tutors complete rigorous pre-semester and bi-weekly training throughout the semester to best support students’ academic success. Subject Tutoring is for any student looking for small group learning environments, study skills, and test-taking strategies. Subject Tutors are here to help students build confidence, better understand the course material, and become independent learners.
