Hi, I’m Shayla! I am a 3rd-year Microbiology student here at Chico State. I also minor in chemistry and biochemistry! I was a Leader for CHEM 111 for two semesters before I became a mentor. Being an SI Leader was such a wonderful experience, and I am so excited to be a mentor now! It taught me so much about myself and has helped me grow as a person tremendously. This is my first semester as a mentor; I am so excited to support the amazing SI Leaders of Chico State. I love all things science and I hope to research food allergies and immunotherapy in the future. When I’m not in school, I am usually dancing, cooking, baking, or hanging out with my sweet kitty named Cleopatra.
