Clayton Truscott

Clayton supports strategic communications initiatives and leads storytelling efforts for University Communications, managing publications such as Chico State Today, Chico Statements, and others. With a background in journalism and creative strategy, Clayton has over 10 years of experience developing content plans for global brands and businesses across a range of industries, from e-commerce and technology to nonprofits. While he excels at multi-level communications plans, managing large-scale projects, and internal messaging, his true joy is storytelling and he’s thrilled to have such a wealth of inspiring material at Chico State. Clayton earned his bachelor’s degree in media and communications from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and a master’s in creative writing from University of Cape Town.
