Center for Mathematics and Science Education

The Center for Mathematics and Science Education was established on the CSU, Chico campus in 1993.  We are a nonprofit organization serving as a regionwide liaison between the University, colleges, K-12 schools, and the business community in the areas of mathematics and science education.

The center's mission is to strengthen K-14 teaching practices in mathematics and science by:

Helping undergraduates enter the teaching profession as competent and confident facilitators of math and science content knowledge (Preservice)

Providing professional development for practicing teachers (Inservice)

Supporting K-12 outreach activities of the College of Natural Sciences (Outreach)
