EGSC Workshop Series

As part of the English Graduate Student Council's commitment to the professional development of its members, we are hosting a series of informative and hands-on workshops throughout the Spring 2013 semester.

Writing Workshop: A monthly writing workshop open to graduate students in English (as well as non-majors or undergraduates enrolled in a graduate level English class) will take place the second Saturday of each month.  This is an opportunity to meet with peers to workshop term papers, creative pieces, sections of a Master’s thesis/project, conference papers, etc.. All you have to do is show up ready to participate with either a laptop or a hard-copy of your work.

Master's Thesis / Project Planning: This workshop will help students start planning their Master’s Thesis/Project. Professor Rob Davidson, the Graduate Advisor for the M.A. in English, will be joining us.

Ph.D. / MFA Applications: Faculty volunteers from each pattern of study will be in attendance to share their expertise. This workshop will be split into program-specific discussion groups.
