Welcome

The CSU, Chico School of Nursing offers programs leading to bachelor's and master's degrees. There is a great potential for nursing in the rapidly changing health care system, and the nursing faculty is committed to the preparation of graduates who will be leaders of the future.

Professional nurses are members of a unique health service who, in collaboration with those in other health disciplines, deliver preventive, restorative, and adaptive health care to people in hospitals, extended care facilities, private homes, public health and school settings, and other community settings. Nursing offers a wide variety of opportunities for service to society, for personal growth, and for professional development.

Nursing is the nation's largest health care field with 3.1 million registered nurses nationwide. Many exciting and rewarding job opportunities can be found in nursing. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment for registered nurses will grow faster than any other occupation through 2012.

Notice! Applicants to Basic BSN Program - For Spring 2013, CSUC School of Nursing will ONLY be accepting applications from the following schools: Butte College, Feather River College, Lassen College, College of the Siskiyous, Shasta College and Yuba College (and, of course, from CSU, Chico students). Applications will not be accepted from post baccalaureate students. This is subject to change (due to budget changes) in July 2012.
