To have the opportunity to join President Hutchinson, her leadership team, the faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends of this great university is the highlight of my career. As proud alumni, my wife Janel and I are excited to once again be a part of the Chico State family.

“Over the past 25 years, everywhere I go, I tell people about the world-class education I received at CSU, Chico, and the outstanding faculty, staff, and students that changed my life as an undergraduate student,” Dr. Lang said. “Chico State is a very special place, and I’m ready to roll up my sleeves--with the Division of Student Affairs and the campus community--to assist our students. As a team, we will work diligently to support students’ personal and professional development, enhance their campus engagement and sense of belonging, and assist them in reaching their educational goals and career aspirations.

“During my campus visit, it was inspiring to meet with our talented students as well as our committed and student-centered faculty, staff, and community members,” said Dr. Lang. “I look forward to working collaboratively, with all of you, to move Chico State to new heights.”
