Chico Chapter Scholarship
The Chico Chapter scholarship was established to honor the contributions of the late Wayne Harder who was instrumental in the founding of the Chico Chapter of the Alumni Association. The scholarship is intended for a dependent of a Chico State alum, affirming the Alumni Association's commitment to supporting current and future students of Chico State.
Graham Whitney Scholarship
The two Graham Whitney Scholarships, endowed by the Whitney family in the name of Chico State alum Graham Whitney (class of 1957), are awarded to incoming or returning Chico State students who have graduated from the Chico Unified School District. Whitney, a former Alumni Association president, founded the Chico Chapter Scholarship Development program. The scholarship was initiated in June 1999, and is funded by the proceeds from sales of water during the undergraduate commencement ceremonies.
Randall Schriefer Memorial Scholarship
The Randall Schriefer Memorial Scholarship was established by his friends and colleagues on the Alumni Association Board of Directors to honor his work and dedication to the university. He graduated from Chico State in 1994 with a degree in kinesiology. Shortly after college, he found his career with the CHP before lateraling over to the San Jose Police Department in 1999. Randy retired as Captain from the SJPD in August 2022 and began working for Amazon in the emergency services unit.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 over the next five years to establish this as an endowed scholarship.
