Virtual Release | Farm Trail Harvest Baltic Porter 

We are excited to partner with the Sierra Oro Farm Trail during our upcoming Alumni and Family Weekend for a virtual tasting experience! Be the first to savor Farm Trail Harvest Baltic Porter, a new, seasonal beer from the Sierra Nevada Brewing company. Inspired by the specialty farms of Butte county, the beer is brewed with local ingredients, including peaches from the Chico State University Farm, almonds from Maisie Jane's, and rice from Lundberg Family Farms.

john pearsonJohn Pearson is currently Executive Director of Chico Velo. Pearson's dedication to community and collaboration has led him to pioneer programs with many organizations, and producers, including taking on the role of Executive Director for Chico Velo. With an endless obsession over bicycle aesthetics and design, bikes have always been a part of John’s life and continue to bring freedom and inspiration from his time on and off the saddle.

terenceTerence Sullivan is a Sierra Nevada Brewing Company veteran whose past roles include brewer and cellarman, field educator, and assistant brewmaster. Sullivan is currently the head of brand innovation at Sierra Nevada Brewing. He is also experienced with Sierra Nevada's barrel-aging program, and how barrels impact the appearance, aroma and flavor of the beer. In recent years he has expanded his role to become a brand ambassador, traveling the country representing the brewery at numerous events, as well as coordinating events like Beer Camp.

joe garciaJoe Garcia earned his bachelor’s degree in animal science from Chico State in 2015 and immediately went to work at the University Farm, where he worked as a student for three years prior to graduating. Joe now focuses on plant science as a crops technician at the University Farm where his team manages more than 500 acres of orchard and row crops. With a background in winegrape and rice production, Joe has worked with nearly all of Northern California’s top crops.

anders lundbergAnders Lundberg is a fourth-generation rice farmer in Butte County and is currently a grower services manager at Lundberg Family Farms.  Four generations of Lundbergs have cultivated the soil of rice fields alongside countless more people who have become family over the years. Anders completed his bachelor's degree in agronomy and crop science at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and will graduate with his master's in business administration at Chico State in 2021.

maisie janeMaisie Jane Hurtado is the founder of Maisie Jane’s California Sunshine Products, Inc. She plays a very active role in every aspect of the business. Maisie and her husband, Isidro have three daughters, Isabela, Natalia and Lilia Jane. She has a true passion for creating healthy, farm fresh products, and exploring new business opportunities
