Partnerships
Partnerships are at the core of the work we do. By working with others, our reach expands exponentially. Utilize the partnerships you have built with the suggested organizations below, or others.
CalFresh Food
CalFresh Food (SNAP) is a program that helps people buy food at their local farmer's market, grocery store, or online via an EBT card which is used like a debit card. Our team helps guide people through the application process.
CalFresh Outreach creates awareness for Californians who may be eligible for CalFresh Food benefits, also known as SNAP. This includes College Staff who help promote the program, walk people through the application, and ensure they know how to use and maintain their benefits.
CalFresh Outreach is vital to reach Californians who may be eligible but are not receiving benefits. The program helps increase grocery budgets and brings federal dollars to the state.
This contract allows the Center for Healthy Communities (CHC), at CSU, Chico, to fund campuses and community-based organizations to increase application assistance for CalFresh Food.
This funding helps build or elevate subcontractor programming to help more clients apply or become aware of CalFresh Food benefits. As a prime contractor with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), CHC works with subcontractors across the state. Please see the CFO map, below, for a list of our current subcontractors.
Interested in joining our CFO contract to build or expand your CFO Program? Please email us at cfo@csuchico.edu. We would be happy to share future opportunities with you.
