Understanding the Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWD) Ruling 

The Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWD) ruling is scheduled to go into effect in April 2020. This means the rules related to people with ABAWD status have not yet changed, and SNAP participants and people seeking food assistance should continue applying for and using benefits as normal. CHC Receives Unprecedented Food Security Contract

California State University, Chico’s Center for Healthy Communities has received an unprecedented contract through the California Department of Social Services to fund a three-year CalFresh Outreach effort from Siskiyou to San Diego counties, involving over 40 California university and college campuses and five community organizations.
