Stephanie was born into a large Italian family with deep agricultural roots. Food not only fuels her body for optimal physical and mental health, but it helps bridge her social connections and provide simple pleasures every day. Food is not just a basic need, it is connection to the land, to spirituality, to family and community. Stephanie knows that social capital and national policy change is needed to ensure that fresh and nutrient dense whole foods are available to all. If you ever share a meal with Stephanie she will probably bring a family recipe as a tribute to her culture and connection to our rich agricultural community.
