Welcome to the HFA Success Studio!

The Success Studio is a resource for all prospective and current students in the College of Humanities and Fine Arts. We work to be your “one-stop-shop” for all of your support and guidance needs. Our staff and student employees can help you with finding community, engaging in student organizations, academic advising, tutoring, campus navigation, and much more! Students are welcome to use the Success Studio as a study space as well. Kylee Sharp, HFA Retention Specialist

Kylee Sharp (she/her)

College Advising & Retention Specialist 

Kylee is the primary advisor and coordinator for the Success Studio. As a Chico State alum, Kylee believes deeply in the transformative power of the college experience. She enjoys helping students to discover their passions and achieve their goals in both academic and extracurricular pursuits. Kylee is committed to fighting for equity and providing advocacy for students in need. In her free time, Kylee enjoys reading, crafting, hiking, biking, and kayaking with her family.

Meet Our Tutors

Brooklyn Becker (she/her)

Music Theory & Aural Musicianship Tutor 

Brooklyn serves as a tutor for students enrolled in MUSC 101, 102, 103, 104, 201, 202, and 219. Originally from Carlsbad, New Mexico, Brooklyn is currently a senior in the Music Education program at Chico State. Her primary instrument is voice, but she also plays piano and classical guitar. She is looking forward to professional opportunities to teach choir, guitar, music theory, and general elementary music after college. Outside of music, Brooklyn loves to read, bake, watch New Girl, go for long walks, and bullet journal.

Jasmine Saechao (she/they)

Music Theory Tutor 

Jasmine is a tutor for students enrolled in MUSC 101, 102, 201, 202, and 219. She is originally from Redding, CA, but is currently a proud senior in the Music Industry program at CSU, Chico. While Jasmine’s primary instrument is flute, she also plays saxophone and piano regularly. She plans to teach general education at the elementary school level after graduation, but has long-term goals of opening a non-profit youth center focused on giving instrumental music lessons. Besides music, Jasmine enjoys bullet journaling, graphic design, reading, and doing yoga in her free time.
