Procedures for Advertising of Temporary Faculty Recruitment Pools or Positions

Note: The Unit 3 / Temporary Lecturer PDF application form is no longer required as applications are now completed and submitted using the online system, PeopleAdmin.

  • College & Department seeking applications
  • Review date/ deadline
  • Applicant materials required (e.g. letter of interest, CV/resume, list of courses applicant is qualified to teach)
  • Full-time or part-time; time-base if part-time
  • Minimum qualifications
  • Basic responsibilities, if more than teaching
  • Search committee members, if applicable
  • Description of department (if your department has conducted a tenure-track or temporary search in the last AY, OAPL may have this information)

  • List/ description of courses available
  • Preferred qualifications
  • Additional responsibilities

The following items are required and added by OAPL:

  • Mandated reporter statement
  • Background check statement
  • Information about the University and its values
  • Equal Opportunity Employment statement
  • Accommodations statement
  • Campus security report information
  • Funding statement


OAPL will use the submitted information and create the electronic posting for your temporary faculty position on the PeopleAdmin applicant tracking system. We will contact you with the URL to your posting, which you can use to advertise your position outside the University, if that is desired. The posting will be viewable on the CSU Chico Faculty Employment Opportunities(opens in new window) page. OAPL will submit an Employee Announcement weekly to notify the campus of open temporary faculty positions.
