Subject: Discontinuation of the use of the term Academic Probation
Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate and with the concurrence of the Provost, I approve the discontinuation of the use of the term academic probation in catalogs, official university communication, and future publications, effective immediately. Further, wherever the term academic probation would typically be used, the term academic notice should be substituted.
