North Valley Food Hub Producers

Welcome to the Producers page for the North Valley Food Hub. This is where to find information, tools, and inspiration for participating in this program and succeeding to the fullest as a farmer or rancher.
The North Valley Food Hub supports participating farmers in two primary ways:
- NVFH offers funding and technical support to implement regenerative conservation practices.
- It offers wholesale regional produce distribution through an integrated sales and marketing food hub platform(opens in new window).
Depending on your operation's needs, you may want to participate in one or both of these services. You do not need to participate in both if you don't want to—it's up to you!
Producers will be supported to implement a variety of conservation practices such as (but not limited to):
- cover crops
- no-till or reduced-till
- soil amendments
- crop rotation
- prescribed grazing
- hedgerows
- nutrient management
Direct payments for every year of participation are available for producers implementing these agricultural practices. Free access to specialty equipment may also be available and help to lower cost and increase success of implementation.
Producers receive free one-on-one technical service assistance to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate the impact of their work, and will share the data collected to support similar initiatives in the future. This will help us assess the economic effectiveness of the choices implemented.
The North Valley Food Hub is also a regional, not-for-profit produce distributor that expands markets for sustainable commodities through marketing assistance, outreach, and wholesale distribution.
