Sustainable Ground Water Management for California Agriculture and the Potential for a Holistic Land Fallowing Program

While mandatory land fallowing is not a program CRARS is advocating for, our team suggests that, "if" land-fallowing becomes the approach to conserving ground water in California, that the California Department of Water Resources and other decision makers in California use a holistic and scientifically informed approach to this potential plan. 

The Center has prepared some recommendations for a holistic approach to a potential land fallowing program to meet Sustainable Ground Water Management obligations.
