Here are some ways you can explore your interests.
- Go to the CSU Chico websites for the major(s)(opens in new window) you are interested in and explore the different majors.
- Use the campus directory(opens in new window) to explore the faculty and instructors' pages. Click on a faculty person's name to find out about their research focus and publications. For example, visit the Biological Sciences faculty and staff page.

- Be sure to ask questions when attending a seminar/webinar, connecting with a professor, and attending a research competition.
- Step 2: Learn more about careers in your major
Being knowledgeable about the different careers in your major will help you determine areas of research you are interested in and enable you to explore opportunities. Learn more about the various career opportunities within your major through the Career Center. You can also explore the What Can I Do With My Major on the Career Center's website.
If you are interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics explore education and career opportunities through Pathways to Science.
