Status of Blackboard Migrated Courses
All 10,000 Blackboard Learn courses from 2022 are now available in Canvas.
So now you will find your migrated courses located in your Canvas dashboard and you may be asking yourself, “Where do I start?”
- You may want to browse your migrated courses while reviewing the Canvas migration guides.
- You may need to rearrange your Canvas dashboard to display your “favorite” courses at the top.
Spring 2023 Canvas Course Shells
Today spring course shells were made available in Canvas with enrolled students. Students will not have access to these Canvas courses, until faculty choose to publish them in January.
- In the Canvas spring course shell you will see the template with Chico State banners, buttons and graphics.
- You can develop in this course and publish to students in January when you are ready. This is a change from our earlier communications. If you have been working in a course prep area where you want to copy content into your spring course shell, contact TLP for assistance so you don’t end up with duplicate content and files.
Need a Bb Course previous to 2022?
In spring, we will share a full plan for migrating what you need from Blackboard before it’s taken down later in fall. It’s not a good idea to migrate all your Bb courses now but rather if you need an older (pre-2022) Bb course migrated immediately for spring 2023 development, fill out this form:
