Tours, Appointments, and Virtual Experiences

An in-person or virtual campus visit is a great way to see what awaits you on campus.

Wildcat Experience
The Wildcat Experience includes a campus tour and the chance to learn more about student life at Chico State. All future First-Time in College applicants are welcome! Register for sessions on Monday June 3 or Monday July 15.
Transfer Takeover
Are you a future transfer applicant? Join us Monday, June 17 or Monday, July 22 at the Transfer Takeover to learn more about opportunities for transfer students at Chico State before the Spring 2025 application opens.

Register for a Tour

In-Person Campus Tours

You are invited to visit campus with your family and friends! General campus tours are offered Monday – Thursday when campus is open. General campus tours cover admissions information, campus facts and history, and student life. Your visit will begin with an admissions presentation and your tour will include a stop at the Wildcat Recreation Center. Your tour will end with an overview of University Housing communities and opportunities, including The Hub and Éstom Jámani Dining Hall. General campus tours do not enter classrooms or residence halls.

Chico State summer hours begin June 3rd and end on August 16th. During summer hours, campus is closed on Fridays and Saturdays. Campus tours during summer hours may result in limited access to campus facilities and availability of staff and faculty.

Academic Department Tours

Looking to discover more about our majors? Join us for an Academic Department tour! These tours do not include a general tour of campus - they are an in-depth exploration of majors, programs, labs, and work spaces used by students. 

You can explore majors and academic opportunities with the following college tours!

  • College of Humanities & Fine Arts Tours
  • Undergraduate Education and Academic Success Tour (undeclared students and all majors welcome!)

Virtual Tours and Activities
Can't make it to campus? Join an admissions counselor and current student for a live admissions presentation and virtual campus tour. You will hear from a current Wildcat and explore the beautiful scenery around campus. This is a great option for prospective students, applicants, school groups, or anyone looking to learn more about Chico State!

Group High School/College Visits

Group High School/College Visits for summer 2024 are now available! Group Visits are for high school and community college aged-groups only. For groups of 50 or more, or if you don't see your preferred date available, please email specialtours@csuchico.edu

An appointment with an Admissions Counselor can answer questions about your application, admission eligibility or transfer options. We are also prepared to share information with you about Chico State’s affordability, accessibility, student-centered community and experiential learning.

When scheduling an appointment, keep in mind that weekday campus tours are 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m., so if you time your appointment right you can join a campus tour before or after your appointment with a counselor.
