Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

Academic Affairs Welcomes Tang Lor and Kathy Williams into New Roles

January 26, 2024
Holly Ferguson, Executive Assistant to the Provost

The Office of the Provost is delighted to announce two additions to our Academic Affairs staff.

First, Tang Lor will join Curriculum Services as its curriculum and course setup analyst, a part of Undergraduate Education and Academic Success (UED). Tang is a Chico State alumna who returned in 2019 as the catalog editor in Academic Publications and Scheduling Services within the Office of the Registrar. She currently serves as the publicist for the College of Humanities and Fine Arts. UED is excited to have her join its team on February 5.

Second, Kathy Williams will join the Provost’s Office as the academic scheduling analyst under the management of Budget and Academic Resources. Kathy has served as an administrative support coordinator since 2017. In 2022, she stepped in as interim ASC and has been supporting both the Sociology and Economics Departments concurrently. The Provost’s Office team is enthusiastic for her to join us on February 12.

We would also like to extend immense gratitude to Jennifer Aceves, who has taken on additional duties beyond her administrative analyst/specialist role for the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management to assist Academic Affairs with this transition. Her extensive expertise with academic scheduling is exceptionally beneficial, and she will continue to provide support through June 30 to help Kathy grow into her new role. We truly appreciate you, Jennifer.

Please join us in welcoming Tang and Kathy to their new positions!
