Call for participation and nominations - Reimagining Chico State for a Brighter Future

I am pleased to announce the formation of a Special Action Team dedicated to reimagining the academic programs and organizational structure of Chico State’s Academic Enterprise to convene this fall. This team – Reimagining Chico State for a Brighter Future – will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of our university to ensure excellence, innovation, and sustainability in the years to come.

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals from our faculty, staff, and student body to serve on this important special action team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute your insights, expertise, creativity, and vision to the transformation of our academic landscape and organizational framework.

As a member of the team, your work will involve:

- Collaborating with a diverse group of key constituencies to identify prioritized areas for improvement and innovation.

- Proposing strategic initiatives and recommendations to enhance academic programs and organizational effectiveness.

- Engaging in meaningful discussions and interdisciplinary collaborations that will help shape the future of Chico State.

If you are passionate about fostering positive change, driving progress, and envisioning the future for our university, we encourage you to nominate yourself or a colleague for a position on the "Reimagining Chico State for a Brighter Future" special action team.

To nominate yourself or a colleague, please submit a brief statement outlining your interests, motivations for contributing to the team's work, and at least one idea you have that would be critical to a brighter future at Chico, the students we serve, and the community in which we thrive. Nominations should be sent to Holly Ferguson (hferguson@csuchico.edu) no later than 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21. Committee members will be notified before noon on Friday, May 24. The full charge letter will be provided the first week of the fall semester. Our goal will be for the team to provide a report and recommendations to me by the end of the fall semester so that we can begin to implement recommendations in the spring.
