Chico State's Rapid Rehousing Program

Wildcat Conversations

On any given day, one in 32 Wildcats experiences housing insecurity. They may be staying with friends, living in their vehicles, or residing in a shelter. Despite facing challenges, these students are determined to graduate from college, and Chico State is helping them achieve that goal.

The University’s Basic Need’s Rapid Re-housing Program(opens in new window)(opens in new window) is a leader in the California State University system for its comprehensive support of students in need of safe housing. Since 2016, the program, in partnership with two local nonprofits, has provided personalized care to help students who are facing homelessness, potential eviction, and other housing crises.

Join our conversation to learn about Chico State's dedication to removing obstacles and supporting all students in their pursuit of higher education.
