Giving at Chico State

Jane Pryor

Regional Director of Philanthropy
Seattle

Jane Pryor joined California State University Chico in August 2023, after more than three decades working in fundraising and communications in the Puget Sound region. Jane’s career started in the community/technical college system and K-12 education. Her passion for higher education enabled her to develop strong partnerships with faculty and staff while raising new resources for faculty development, instructional support, and student scholarships. Jane also taught part-time at Pierce College and the University of Washington-Tacoma.

In 2001, Jane transitioned from higher education to healthcare. After seven years as director of major and planned giving for the Franciscan Health System/Franciscan Foundation in Tacoma, she joined the nonprofit Northwest Kidney Centers as vice president of development and communications/foundation executive director, retiring in 2021 after 13+ years there.

Jane’s passion for fundraising, relationship-building with major and planned gift donors, and supporting worthy causes have drawn her back to the world of higher education. She looks forward to developing new relationships and building strong connections with Chico’s alumni and donors in the greater Seattle area.
