Multicultural and Gender Studies

Caroline Schulz

Caroline "Carli" Schulz is a current senior at Chico State pursuing her BA in both Multicultural and Gender Studies, the Women’s Studies Option and International Relations, with a concentration in History and a minor in European Studies. She is currently the Research and Program Development Intern at the Department of Multicultural and Gender Studies, and also works at the front desk at the Chico State Study Abroad office.

 Carli studied abroad in London, England for the 2016-2017 academic year, where she was able to travel all over Europe. While in London, she also completed an internship at a small charity whose focus was on environmental justice in sub-Saharan Africa.

Carli is also Student Vice President of Phi Kappa Phi, the prestigious honor’s society here at Chico State. She is currently assisting to plan membership events such as the Spring Initiation Ceremony.

Carli has always been passionate about women’s rights, and has a particular interest in women’s rights internationally. She had the opportunity to intern at the Women’s Funding Network in the summer of 2017, where she assisted in planning a conference for women’s foundations from all over the globe. She hopes to combine her passion for social justice with a career that allows her to travel around the world.  

Carli works closely with Dr. Cooper on Curriculum within the department
